The Acount is an attendance system for counting the audience in an auditorium.

The Acount make use of the ROSE200 technology which is an analytical solution that Optishell provides to the Cinema owners.

It constantly monitors using image processing algorithms that count how many persons are watching the movie. All the auditoriums where the devices are installed are connected and monitored via a secured network.

The system detects each seat in the auditorium and detects whether someone is sitting there. The results of the counting can be compared with the Box Office information and it is flexible to report every minute or any other step of time as required. The system is installed above the screen, it uses the both the light from the screen and self infrared invisible illumination. Alerts are generated when the number of people in the auditorium is higher than the tickets sold for this specific room.

The Installation requires a one time calibration and learning of the auditorium. Although the system is programmed to count during the film session, it can also count during the commercial advertising and trailers, and reporting according to the content.

The system can work as a stand alone or as a connected network. The reports can be displayed on a local site (in case of a stand alone) or on the web site (in a network design).
